MALVERN football clubs were again restricted by the wet weather in the McDonald's Worcester and District League.
However, Powick managed to get some action by staging the Sunday Division One visit of Worcester Saints on the artificial surface at Dyson Perrins Academy.
Their efforts paid off as Lee Jenkins cracked a hat-trick with Dean Humphries and Sam Rathbone also on target in a 5-1 success.
In the Saturday Phipps Cup, Malvern Vale drew 1-1 with Foregate. Josh Speight gave Vale the lead before Nathan Jones headed the Foregate equaliser.
Meanwhile, there were a handful of other games with Brewers Athletic continuing their relentless charge towards the Sunday Division Three title by thrashing Alumni 7-1.
The University of Worcester climbed out of relegation trouble in Division Two with a 4-2 home win against Hornets.
Droitwich Spa Eagles managed to play both fixtures on their home pitches after sterling work by their ground staff and were rewarded with two victories.
The Reserves beat The Bell @ St John's 5-2 in Division Four, while their ‘A’ team triumphed 4-2 against GDL Athletic ‘A’ in Division Five.
The Bell @ Pensax are out of the Worcestershire FA Sunday Junior Cup after a narrow 3-2 home defeat to Areley Kings.
