OLDSWINFORD v MALVERN
MALVERN suffered a serious setback in their bid to win promotion from the Worcester-shire County League Division Two when they were defeated at Oldswinford on Saturday.
Malvern had the upper hand for most of the Oldswinford innings with Jeremy Cox producing a quite brilliant spell of bowling.
At 79-7 the home side were in deep trouble but after an early life, skipper Robinson played an excellent innings to rescue his side and post a total of 140.
Malvern had the worst possible start as they had Adam Dovey fall to the first ball of the innings and they never really recovered from that.
Ollie Bendall played sensibly for his innings of 21 but Malvern were bowled out for 70 runs.
