WORCESTER remain outside of the Birmingham and District Premier Cricket League Division Three relegation zone despite failing to finish off basement boys Kings Heath.

The sixth-from-bottom city side claimed 18 points from a winning draw after scoring 275-5 but then seeing their hosts survive on 205-9.

Nick Brown hit 84 not out for Worcester alongside 70 from opener Tyler Ward and 65 by Fabian Allen, who then took 6-29 from 17 overs with the ball only for Heath to hang on.

Astwood Bank remain in the drop zone after a three-wicket defeat at Pelsall.

They were dismissed for 122 before fourth-placed Pelsall stumbled home on 124-7.

Ryan Blakemore, skipper Steve Adshead and Joel Haslam all scored 30 for Bank.

Second-placed Berkswell battled to a hard-fought five-wicket win at Worcestershire's Barnt Green in the Premier Division.

Luke Radford (95), Ed Pollock (38), Andy Sutton (33) and Matt Lamb (30) fired Green to 274 all out.

Dan Worrall took 5-83 for Berkswell before Mark Best, with 152 from 135 balls including 25 fours and one six, led the Warwickshire side home with solid support from Chris Whittock (33) and Steven Sandhu (32no).

Darrell Williams was the best of theGreen bowlers with 3-80, while Radford picked up 2-27 to add to his outstanding batting effort.

Knowle and Dorrdige moved up to third in the table after an easy 10-wicket win over Kidderminster Victoria, who were dismissed for 161.

Superb new-ball bowling by Jack Grundy (4-33) and Will Mottram (2-42) reduced Kidderminster to 32-5.

Craig Wood (45), Michael Hill (34) and Andy Kimberlin (29) staged a middle-order recovery, which was brought to an abrupt end by David Myers (3-6).

Knowle showed their intent by taking 22 off the first over before Alex Keath (99no) and Alex Phillips (62no) eased them to victory in 25.5 overs.

A second-wicket partnership of 230 between Kadeer Ali (131) and Ateeq Javid (150) laid the foundations for West Bromwich Dartmouth to rack up 358-5 against Ombersley at Sandwell Park.

Javid's third 50 came from 16 balls and the shell-shocked visiting outfit never recovered, slumping to 132 all out with the bulk of the runs coming from Liam Gwynne (42) and Olly Uffindall (37).

Sarmad Bhatti took 4-27 for Dartmouth, who remain outsiders to retain their title.

Kenilworth Wardens’ remarkable rise from the foot of the table continued with a fifth straight win to leave Brockhampton in dire straits following their 12th defeat of the season.

Wardens were made to work hard for their total of 176 with Jamie McIlroy taking 3-28 and Callum Stewart finishing with 3-41.

Nick Seager top-scored for Wardens with 35 and his efforts were rewarded as Brockhampton were dismissed for 145 in reply.

Joe Crichard was left high and dry on 41no as left-arm spinners Sitanshu Kotak (5-41) and Matt Hancock (3-14) combined to increase the pressure on the Herefordshire outfit.

Division One leaders Walsall extended their lead at the top to 28 points with a five-wicket win at Barnards Green to damage the Malvern club's fading hopes of promotion.

The highlight of the Green innings was a sixth-wicket partnership of 81 between Josh Tongue (63) and Andy Ford (38), which took them from 118 to 199.

But the last four wickets fell cheaply as they were all out for 213.

Ed Denham (4-39) took his tally of wickets to 18 in the last three games and Paul Byrne finished with 3-58.

After the early loss of James Middleton, a second-wicket stand of 97 between makeshift opener Paul Wicker (54) and Tim Maxfield (80) took Walsall to 112-1.

Josh Tongue stepped up to take 4-39 to reduce them to 169-5 but Denham (22no) and Mike Hingley (20no) ensured there were no more alarms.

Bromsgrove showed a welcome return to form with a comprehensive 226-run win over Attock, who crumbled to 81 all out in response to the home side’s impressive 307-9.

Worcestershire's Alexei Kervezee (144) led the way as Iftikhar Ahmad took 5-66 for the visitors, who had no answer to Alex Wilkinson (4-19), Kervezee (3-11) and Graeme Whiles (2-30).

Another Worcestershire player Tom Kohler-Cadmore smashed 136no from 120 balls for Himley in their winning draw with Moseley.

Mid-table Old Elizabethans had a Division Two winning draw with Tamworth, who survived on 185-8 in reply to 243-8.

Skipper Jamie Boyle (79) and Johann Smit (59) starred for the Worcester side before Damon Gariff took 4-53 with the ball.

Bottom-of-the-table Eastnor lost by 55 runs to leaders Bridgnorth after being dismissed for 200 when chasing 255-5.

Shahid Ahmed hit four sixes in his 72 in a 97-run last-wicket stand with Sajid Ali (24) following 42 from Kamran Mehran.
