YOUNG Worcestershire Rapids' batsman Tom Kohler-Cadmore believes "no-one is under-estimating us anymore" in NatWest T20 Blast cricket.

Rapids, who are lying second in the North Group, return to action this evening against Nottinghamshire Outlaws at Trent Bridge (6.30pm), looking to bounce back from the two-run defeat against Northamptonshire Steelbacks last Friday.

Then on Sunday they have a home clash with Durham Jets (2.30pm), which is being televised live on Sky Sports.

Rapids are one of only two sides not to have reached finals day but they have appeared in the quarter-finals in two of the past three seasons.

Kohler-Cadmore, 20, said: "We've beaten Notts before in T20 — and in T20 cricket anyone can beat anyone.

"One knock can really change everything. It doesn't even have to be a big knock, just a 20 off an over maybe.

"No-one is under-estimating us anymore because, especially in the last two years, we've been there or thereabouts.

"We've got some strong hitters and very skilful bowlers.

"We're in the top two and we've now got to get back on the horse of winning again."

Rapids will be hoping for a repeat of last year's thrilling game, also shown live on television, when late big hitting from Gareth Andrew and Ross Whiteley ensured victory in a rain-affected match of 13 overs per side.

Worcestershire's director of cricket Steve Rhodes is forced to make one change from the side edged out by Steelbacks.

Moeen Ali, who has played in the last six games, has now linked up with England for the first Ashes Test at Cardiff next Wednesday.

Richard Oliver was the regular opener until Moeen was allowed to return to his County throughout June.

The former Shropshire captain has not played in the last three T20 Blast matches with Brett D'Oliveira returning to the side.

Meanwhile, Notts' director of cricket Mick Newell challenged his side to win four of their last five T20 matches in order to secure qualification for the knockout stages.

They have lost five of their opening nine games but won a thrilling televised game at New Road by 11 runs last month.

Newell said: “It’s very much up in the air again and Birmingham, who won it last year, qualified with 16 points.

“With five games to go, we’re quite capable of winning four of them and getting to that total.

“Looking at the group this year, nobody is running away with it so 15 points might even get you through because all teams are beating each other."

Seamer Luke Fletcher and former Worcestershire academy batsman James Taylor were members of the winning Outlaws side at New Road last month but both will be missing this evening after picking up hamstring injuries in the two sides' four-day match.

Taylor’s absence is likely to mean Riki Wessels will captain Outlaws for the first time in the format in his 100th T20 match in England.
