MALVERN suffered their fourth Worcestershire League Division Two defeat of the season from seven games at the bottom of the table.

The town side, who are yet to win in the league in 2015, managed 206 all out but it was in reply to hosts Worcester Dominies’ daunting 361-8 from 50 overs.

Andy Cullen top scored with 87 for Malvern in their 155-run beating.

However, all-rounder Rob Perrins struck 81 not out and claimed 3-28 as Malvern seconds recorded their first Division Three win of the season, surprising Worcester Dominies by 54 runs.

Meanwhile, fourth-placed West Malvern firsts romped to a 142-run victory at Hallow in Division Five after belting 262-7 in 50 overs.

Skipper and opener Steve Wright blasted 105 with 21 fours to dominate the West innings before Matt Gammon (5-38) ensured short-handed Hallow were dismissed for 120.

Opener Ben Butler smashed 107 and Freddie Coleman 118 not out in Colwall seconds’ seven-wicket win over Hagley in Division One.

Bromyard seconds hit 343-7 in their 103-run thrashing of Avoncroft in Division Two with Mike Reece scoring 92, Lee Hankins 82 and Pete Whittenbury 62, while Martin Reece-Pitt took 5-35.

Leston Blackburn blasted 101 as West Malvern seconds beat Hallow by seven wickets in Division Five.
