KIDDERMINSTER Victoria made short work of their fellow Worcestershire outfit Barnt Green, racing to a ten-wicket success in the Birmingham and District League Pre mier Division.

Jonathan Wright (3-18) and Gareth Williams (3-22) took the lion’s share of the wickets for Kidderminster, who dismissed Green for 154.

An unbroken opening stand of 156 between Andrew Kimberlin (102 not out) and Matt Pardoe (36 not out) then fired Kidderminster to their fourth league win of the season.

K & D struggled to 191 all out, in 48 overs, against a tight Ombersley attack, led by Chris Harwood (3-33), a total that would have been considerably less without 46 from Ben Brookes who improved matters from 134-8 with the assistance of tailenders Chris Davidson and Ben Coley.

In reply, after losing two wickets for 30, Ombersley were steered to a six-wicket win by a third-wicket stand of 96 between Uday Kaul (95 not out) and Brett D’Oliveira (50).

A second-wicket stand of 194 between Dorridge skipper David Ball (144) and Mo Ishtiaq (64) helped their side to 283 all out at Brockhampton, the next highest individual score be - ing 13 from Aaron Thomason.

Chris Boroughs took 4-36 for Brockhampton, who finished nine short on 274 all out with one over remaining.

Newcomer Danny Irvine opened up with 76, Boroughs added 45 and Chris Powell scored 35 but Mahroof Azam (5-74) and Ball (3-31) mopped up the tail after Brockhampton appeared to be in control on 226-4.

Division One high-fliers Bromsgrove restricted Moseley to 189-5 at St Godwald’s Park, with Adam Din top scoring with 45 and Ash Newfield takiing 3-39.

The Bromsgrove reply was led by Jayden Levitt, who hit 109 to ease his side to a five- wicket win with Moseley’s Mark Adair finishing with 3-51.

Barnards Green crushed Wellington by 166 runs after an opening stand of 113 between Andrew Curtis (119) and George Rhodes (46) laid the foundations for a total of 269-9.

Alex Hepburn chipped in with 41 from 39 balls and there were three wickets each for Trevor Garwe (3-36) and Wendell Wagner (3-42). In reply, Wellington collapsed to 103 all out, despite a fighting 35 from opener Sam Lloyd who was last man out.

Rhodes took 4-22 to lead his side to victory.

Shifnal scraped past visiting Old Elizabethans by nine runs to register their second success of the season in Division Two.

OE’s John Major took excel - lent figures of 5-10 as Shifnal were dismissed for 139, but the Worcester side finished on 130 despite 55 from skipper Jamie Boyle who was sixth man out with the score on 119. Alex Riley took 3-22 to record the best figures for Shifnal.

Eastnor cruised past Halesowen by eight wickets.

Halesowen crashed to 105 all out at Eastnor with Raheel Lone taking 4-22 for the Herefordshire side, who were eased to victory by Jack Myers (38 not out) and Andrew Fisher (36) with a second-wicket partnership of 74.
