EASTNOR beat holders Old Elizabethans by 50 runs in the first week of the Worcestershire Indoor League Worcester Division One.
The league newcomers scored 120-5 before dismissing the Worcester side for just 70 with three overs left.
Eastnor lost an early wicket to a poor call but Clive Chadhani (14), Raheel Lone (24) and Tareq Jamil (23) took them to 58-2 after six overs.
Shameen Ahmed added 10 not-out but the villagers were aided by 26 wides from the bowlers.
In reply, Jamie Boyle (15) laboured struggled and only Hemaka Pathiranage (19) offered fight as OEs struggled, despite Eastnor conceding 27 wides from 52 balls.
In Division Two, West Malvern (96-5) lost to Old Vigornians (97-1) with an over remaining.
Kevin Gilbert (19) was trapped lbw as West slid from a good start to 52-2 from seven overs.
Pete O’Connell (43no) watched as bails flew in all directions from the bowling of Charlie Lamb (2-20).
James Bader (16) and Nick Major (25no) got OVs off to a steady start before they cruised to victory in the 11th over.
