WORCESTERSHIRE’S Emily Arlott has been included in the England Women’s Cricket Pathway development programme Under 19 winter training squad.

It is the next step forward for 16-year-old Arlott towards realising the dream of playing for her country.

She will attend a series of training camps at the National Cricket Performance Centre in Loughborough throughout the winter.

Arlott, who plays for Pershore, has represented Worcestershire Women at various levels including Under 15s and Under 17s.

She attends John Masefield Sixth Form in Ledbury and has been selected following strong performances in the England Development Under 19 summer tournaments and for Worcestershire.

Worcestershire Women and Girls County Pathway co-ordinator Jacci Hunt said: “It is fantastic for Emily and well deserved.

“Emily is one of our most dedicated, most commited players. She works so hard at her game. It is a dream come true.

“She is now part of a squad looking to potentially develop for the England side.”
