BARNARDS Green picked up their second Worcestershire Sunday Club League win of the season.

The seconds defeated Oldswinford by eight wickets after dismissing the Black Country side for 102.

Oldswinford found runs difficult to come by against an accurate opening attack of James Marsh (2-6) and James Scullion.

Jamie Longmore (2-8) then bowled a tight line and length to pick up two wickets and a runout from a direct throw as Oldswinford struggled on 67-5.

Spinners Pete Daffin and Ahmed ripped through the tail with four wickets for 11 runs.

In reply, Andy Wheeler and Chris Freeman opened with the former smashing the ball to all parts of the ground although he did give a number of chances which were not taken.

When Freeman was out with the score on 59, Elliott Hennessy added 14 before Shulka Anshuman assisted Wheeler (78 not out) to see Green home.
