TERRY Jenkins will face Vincent van der Voort in the first round of the totesport.com Players Championship on January 28.

Play continues with the second round staged across two sessions on Saturday January 30.

If he is victorious over van der Voort, Jenkins will face the winner of the Phil Taylor and Peter Manley clash.

The quarter-finals on the Sunday afternoon, and the semi-finals and final played on Sunday evening, all at The Circus Tavern in Purfleet.

The tournament has also received two boosts, with the announcement of totesport.com as title sponsors accompanied by the news that the Professional Darts Players Association have donated £50,000 to increase the prize fund to £250,000.

Jenkins will then turn his attentions to the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts campaign which gets under way at London’s O2 on February 11.

He will be part of an all-star line-up which also includes Phil Taylor and James Wade.

The event, screened live on Sky Sports, will be played from February to May at 14 arenas around the UK, with eight players meeting twice in a league format.

The play-offs will then be played at Wembley Arena on May 23.
