THE weather might not be inviting but Malvern cycling club VC Sevale are putting on some events for any hardy souls who might fancy shaking off the winter blues.
This Sunday (December 23) as well as the usual club ride there is an off road and most likely muddy ride to Knightwick.
Starting from Barnards Green bus shelter at 9am and probably getting back to Malvern at about 2pm depending on conditions. Everyone welcome but bring some food and money for a drink at the pub. Contact Steve on 01684 568252 or email steve@melsteve.fsnet.co.uk
After Christmas, on Sunday December 30, there is probably the easiest event of the year. The Free Wheel Competition and Festive Ride to the Farmers Arms.
The competition is quite simple, the idea is to roll as far as you can in the direction of Ledbury without pedalling. Meet at British Camp car park at 9.45am and the freewheeling begins at 10am from the layby about half a mile down the A449 towards Ledbury.
