MALVERN Radar played their second pre-season game against a strong Droitwich Spa Eagles side and gained a creditable 1-1 draw.
In hot conditions the Malvern side played passing football with Andy Nolan prominent throughout.
Radar went ahead when the hard-working Kieran Smith crossed from the right and Adam Rushton calmly threaded the ball home.
The hosts equalised early in the second half when a needless free-kick was conceded and the ball somehow travelled unchallenged inside the right-hand upright.
The young Radar side then dominated play and had a goal disallowed when Adam Rushton’s bullet header was chalked off for offside.
Further efforts from Smith and Elliot Street saw the keeper in good form to deny Radar a deserved victory.
