WYRE Forest teams lead the way in Worcestershire League Division One with both leaders Stourport and Bewdley winning.

Ryan Derrick hit 85 not out against Hagley to guide Stourport home safely by seven wickets.

Bewdley posted a mediocre 171 all out but rallied and bowled hosts Worcester out to win by just two runs and leapfrog them in the table.

Evesham also went above Worcester into third after Muhammad Saqib scored 86 to lead them to 299-9 at Feckenham which proved too many as Mohammed Fahim Maan wrapped it up with 5-27.

Chaddesley Corbett went back into fifth after Bilal Hassan (112) rescued them from a shaky start against Pedmore as Dave Skelding took 5-58.

Worcester Nomads returned to winning ways as they crept home by two wickets against bottom club Burghill, Tillington and Weobley thanks to a timely half-century from teenager Harvey Groves.

Joe Blight scored a century for Colwall as they sent Cookley back into the bottom two.

Division Two table-toppers Bromyard were humbled at Himbleton as the hosts fired with the bat to amass 316-7 which proved far too many for the Herefordshire men to chase despite 98 from Nick Leighton.

Their nearest rivals both took advantage of the slip as in-form Martin Hill scored an undefeated 98 to help Bredon beat Old Vigornians and go top.

Half-centuries from Carl Whyte (76) and Gulham Abbass (73) secured second place for Coombs Wood as they beat bottom club Wormelow by 66 runs.

Tom Blunt (4-7) helped fourth-placed Oldswinford and Stourbridge Social skittle lowly Bartestree and Lugwardine for 80 while Will Pardoe scored 104 for Belbroughton to set up victory at Kempsey and Droitwich Spa came away from Enville with the spoils to jump to sixth.

In Division Three, Lye took the top spot after smashing previous leaders Rushwick to all parts of the Black Country.

After beating Bromyard in the Midweek First XI Knockout Cup final at Kidderminster, Lye amassed 455-9 thanks to Tofiq Anwar (91), Tanzeel Rehman (72) and Waqas Ahmed (67).

Alvechurch and Hopwood remain third but narrowed the gap to second-placed Rushwick as they easily overcame lowly Hanley Castle and Upton by seven wickets at The Glebe.

Harborne moved into fourth thanks to 155 from Rob Powell in their 412-6 which proved far too many for Avoncroft.

Martley slipped to fifth as they suffered defeat for the first time in a while at the hands of Netherton who went up to sixth.

Five Ways Old Edwardians easily overcame Eastnor by 10 wickets and bottom side Malvern gained their first victory of the season.

Tom Hale (114) helped Malvern compile 293-5 in their five-wicket win.

Division Four leaders Halesowen lost by two wickets at Tenbury which gave both Romsley and Hunnington and Astwood Bank the impetus to narrow the gap at the top.

Adnan Wahid scored 73 not out to guide Romsley to victory over Stourport and Jessica Humby finished with 5-16 which led Astwood Bank to a 94-run win against West Malvern.

Claverley bowled out Shropshire rivals Alveley to win by a comfortable margin and remain fifth.

Matt Hatfield (79) ensured Kidderminster continued their good form as he led them to a five-wicket victory against fourth-placed Stourbridge.

In a high-scoring match at Himley, Hallow Taverners managed 307-2 thanks to tons from Neil Strange (117) and Dave Pugh (110).

It proved just enough to see them home by 10 runs despite half-centuries from Dominic Taylor (73) and Steven Newman (63) for the hosts.
