HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle admits he needs to cool off for 10 minutes after he criticised some of his players following Saturday's 3-3 draw at Kings Langley.

Beadle was raging after the Bulls conceded a 95th minute goal to deny them all three points in their opening Southern League Premier Division game.

"I'm a very emotional person because I'm so desperate to win, but sometimes I've got to give myself a deep breath and compose myself, especially after a game like Saturday," said Beadle.

"Supporters want to hear about the game and how I thought it went, but I realise I can be quite emotional.

"In the two years I've been here, I've never dug out players individually, but sometimes they need to be mentioned.

"Supporters have their own opinion about who played well and who didn't and are happy to air it on social medial or forums.

"I spoke to the individuals that I mentioned bar one and they're all fine and know they were below par of what is expected of them.

"I don't regret saying what I did, just the manner of it.

"But everything is a learning curve, both for me as manager and the players."

Hereford came from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 with just two minutes remaining, with substitutes Jamie Molyneux and John Mills both scoring.

Many Bulls fans were surprised to see Mills was on the bench, especially with Lance Smith was out injured.

But Beadle says it's easy to call for Mills' name when the team are 2-0 down.

"People forget that John didn't play much after Christmas when we were in the Midland League, but we were still winning games," said Beadle.

"There's a part of a game that he needs to work on and he can look lost in games sometimes.

"But he showed how professional he is when he came on because I thought he was exceptional.

"He scored to put us 3-2 up and has put himself in contention for Tuesday."

Despite the disappointment of the goals conceded, Beadle felt his team played well at times.

"Ive reflected over the weekend and having watched the highlights and looked at the stats, we actually played really well, we were just careless with the goals we conceded," he said.

"I was disappointed for the the players because they worked their socks off, but they've got to cut out the mistakes.

"There was no one individual to blame, we just need to be better and defend as a team.

"But for whatever reason on Saturday, we didn't do that.

"But we didn't lose the game and it's only the opening game of the season.

"The boys have been great, but we spoke honestly on Saturday and they realised that they let themselves down.

"But there's no issues and we roll our sleeves up and go again on Tuesday."

Ryan Green comes back into contention after missing Saturday's game due to suspension, but Molyneux is again expected to be on the bench as he looked to regain his fitness following injury.

Beadle says that the only player who probably needs a rest is goalkeeper Martin Horsell, but is reluctant to place too much pressure on 17-year-old Max Harris' shoulders.

Tiverton gained promotion form the South & West Division via the play-offs and Beadle knows it will be a tough test for his team.

"I think they have a similar system and style to last season and Martyn [Rogers] will prepare them right," said Beadle.

"I'm looking forward to it.

"It's the first home game and will be midweek under lights.

"But we will have to be totally focussed."
