THERE will be a cricket match at Barnards Green's North End Lane ground on Sunday in memory of late town fundraiser Vaughn Albone.

The popular former The Gloster Arms Football Club manager, 63, organised a big wheelchair push before his death from cancer in January 2016.

The subsequent cricket match in his memory between the Arms and Malvern Radar football clubs in aid of St Richard's Hospice raised more than £1,500.

The fixture returns in Malvern this weekend in a T20 format at 2pm.

Last year the match was comfortably won by Radar but since their football team have now folded Arms will this time look to take revenge against Radar's old boys and again raise funds for the hospice.

A barbecue and bar will be available and everyone is welcome.

There will be a new trophy for the winners donated by the Jeynes family.
