MANOR Park are celebrating after their second team won the Worcester Squash League Division Three.

They finished 41 points ahead of their nearest rival as they ended their long wait for promotion.

Although the team led the division from the first game against Pershore seconds, their campaign did not come without several setbacks.

The most notable of those was the loss of James Cottam with an ankle injury sustained in October which kept him out for 12 matches.

Manor Park’s team appeared to have the widest age range in the league, with Dom Bailey the youngest, aged 13 at the beginning of the season through to members in their 60s.

This mix of youth and experience earned consistently good results throughout as they lost just one game.

Some members could also find themselves playing in Division One next term as Manor Park will lose a couple of their first team players who are off to university.
