THE FA is considering an ‘Extraordinary Incident Report’ following the disturbances that let to Hereford FC’s game against Didcot Town being abandoned.
A statement released by the Evo-Stik League Southern said: “Whilst the League is not yet in possession of the full facts surrounding the abandonment of the Division One South & West match between Didcot Town and Hereford on Saturday, March 4, the Evo-Stik League Southern condemns the reported behaviour of some individuals that led to the reason for the Match Referee taking the necessary action in abandoning the match.

“The matter is being considered by the FA following an Extraordinary Incident Report being submitted and until the matter is concluded by them, the Evo-Stik League Southern is not permitted to take any action. However, the League intends to liaise with its Member Clubs to help prevent any repetition of these events.”

Hereford were leading 2-1 at the time the game was brought to a halt thanks to Mike Symons' late goal.

Thames Valley Police have confirmed that a number of people ran on to the pitch near the end of the game and two 19-year-old men from Hereford were subsequently arrested - one for a public order offence and one for suspicion of common assault.

One has been bailed until April 4 and the other until April 6.

A statement from Hereford FC released today said: "After studying video footage and photographs from the Didcot game, Hereford FC have submitted a report as requested, to the Southern League and the FA, with comments and observations, together with all available evidence and footage gathered following Saturday’s abandoned match.

"Whilst the club wait to hear from Southern League and FA officials we will be making no further comment."
