HEREFORD FC assistant manager Steve Jenkins has confirmed that star striker John Mills felt 'a little twinge' on his hamstring near the end of today's game against Swindon Supermarine.

Mills – who scored both goals in a 2-0 win – had to go off in stoppage time.

Jenkins says the full extent of the injury should be known in the next few days.

"John will let that settle down for the next 24 to 48 hours but fingers crossed it's not going to keep him out for too long," said Jenkins.

"But until we assess it, we can't tell what it is."

Jenkins felt Hereford were very worthy of the win and restricted Supermarine to few chances on goal.

"I thought we were solid, scored a decent goal as well following great play from Pab and a great run from Millsy," said Jenkins.

"Pab has chased that ball for 60 yards and made something out of it.

"It's about desire and passion, was a great delivery and Millsy does what he does.

"It was a great run and a great flick "Overall, we restricted them to very little and were comfortable winners on the day.

"They came with a game plan, then they had a little go.

"They tried to make it difficult for us and it wasn't a great day for football in terms of the wind.

"But I thought we got it down, created chances and it was just a matter of time before we got the second goal and killed the game off."

Hereford went into the game on the back of successive draws and Jenkins said it was important to get back to winning ways today.

"We had two draws in the last couple of game, but I thought our performance last week warranted a win," added Jenkins.

"We didn't get it, so it important we got back to winning ways because the games are counting down slowly.

"Hopefully we keep winning and and get to that situation where it's mathematically done and that's all we can do.

"Just focusing on ourselves, not worrying about anyone else and pick up those three points in the coming weeks."
