HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle was delighted with his side's performance after they blitzed Swindon Supermarine 3-0 on Tuesday night to maintain their comfortable lead at the top of Southern Football League Division One South & West.
Two goals from Mike Symons and one from Pablo Haysham did the damage against a side who had scored 10 goals in their previous two games leading up to the match.
"I thought the tempo from the first minute was fantastic," said Beadle.
"In the first half we completely snuffed them out and in the second half, I thought we dominated in all areas of the pitch."
Beadle made a number of changes to the team, including handing a debut to new signing Adam Davies at right back.
Jimmy Oates also slotted in at centre-half due to Chris Parry picking up a knock.
"We know Adam is a good footballer and I thought he had a very solid game.
"We know Jimmy is a good defender and can slot anywhere across the back four and will do a good job and he's done that.
"Although they played superbly it doesn't surprise me because I know what they are capable of and we talked about the game about why do I get so frustrated and annoyed with them at times, it's because they drop below standard they set, not me, they always set the standard.
"So now going into the next game, we've got a week to work hard and get ready for next Tuesday."
