THERE was a delay during the third Mercian Fortis Junior League cup finals day at Malvern Town’s HDanywhere Community Stadium due to an injury.

A neck problem saw a Kidderminster Athletic player eventually taken to hospital by ambulance.

St John Ambulance were in attendance at the boys’ finals and swiftly took control of the situation.

The day was well attended and the occasional showers did not dampen anyone’s enthusiasm.

There was extra-time required for the Ted Price Memorial Cup under 17s opener as Worcester’s Nunnery Wood Falcons beat Nunnery Wood Tigers 2-1.

Nunnery Wood Eagles then beat St Johns Colts 4-0 in the Wayne Phillpotts Memorial Shield for under 14s.

The Andy Wardroper Memorial Cup for under 15s saw Kidderminster Athletic beat WCT Raiders 5-2 after extra-time.
