A LEIGH and Bransford Badgers youngster enjoyed a dream experience to be mascot for West Bromwich Albion.

Lewis Oliver, nine, won the chance in The Albion Foundation’s Christmas charity raffle and joined fellow victors at The Hawthorns clash with Swansea City in the Premier League, which ended 1-1.

The youngster, who is involved with the Malvern under nines squad of the foundation’s player development centre, arrived early for a look-around and to buy souvenirs in the gift shop.

He lined up at the Tony Brown entrance to be greeted before dinner and drinks in the VIP suite and the presentation of a certificate and signed ball.

After pictures by the pitch, in the dug-out and in the tunnel, Oliver, a Broadwas Primary School pupil, met the players in the changing rooms and presented his favourite James McClean with a mug from the Leigh and Bransford club.

The crowd cheered as all players and mascots walked out in front of more than 22,000 spectators before the two teams contested a draw.
