ST RICHARD’S Hospice are inviting golfers to join them on the fairway for a fundraising golf day.

The event at The Worcestershire on Thursday, April 14, will be the first to be held by the hospice at the club in Malvern Wells.

It follows the continuing success of their annual event at Droitwich.

Rachel Jones, fundraising manager at the hospice, said: “We are very excited to be holding a new second golf day in Malvern.

“Our last golf day was so popular we had a reserve list, so we thought that an additional day was in order.

“We would like to invite local golf enthusiasts and businesses to bring teams along for a great day of golf and networking.

“As a bit of fun, we will be offering prizes for the first three teams, the longest drive and nearest the pin.

“I would like to thank Malcolm Jeffs, St Richard’s volunteer and my golfing expert advisor, for his help and support.”

The event is being sponsored by Santander.

Tickets are £300 for a team of four and include a bacon roll with tea or coffee on arrival, an 18-hole round with tee-off times from 11am and a two-course dinner with prize giving and a charity auction.
