WORCESTER schoolboy Ben Shimwell has been picked for the Midlands Under-18s squad against the Lambs representative side next month.
Shimwell, from King’s School Worcester, is among three North Midlands players in the final squad after impressing at an assessment day at Broadstreet RFC near Coventry.
The Ledbury Rugby Club back row forward joins hooker Dan Morgan (Ellesmere College and Wrexham) and Wes Blackhurst (King Edward VI Camp Hill and Moseley) in the squad.
Midlands Under-18s will train on January 24 before facing the Lambs at Uppingham School on February 7.
The Midlands will play a divisional match against North Under-18s at Macclesfield on February 21.
