THERE was a major shock in the McDonald’s Worcester and District Football League’s Baylis Cup second round when Brewers Athletic won 2-0 at highly-fancied Perrywood.

Mike Jeffries and James McKee were on target for Brewers.

There were two goals each for Martin Malsom of New Barbourne, who beat St John’s 4-1, and Mike Young in The Bell @ Pensax’s 5-3 win at the University of Worcester A.

In the Southam Trophy, Ed Jukes hit a hat-trick for Korono, who drew 3-3 after extra-time with Drakes Broughton Rangers.

But Jukes then saw his side go out 6-5 on penalties in the resultant shoot-out.

There were 45 goals scored in the five Bernard Finnegan Cup ties played.

Tyler Attwood netted five times as Warndon Villages crushed Tenbury Athletic 7-2.

CSKA Worcester hammered Blackpole Sports 8-0, with Jason Kennedy firing a treble and Alex Mann a double. George Coley cracked a hat-trick and Mike Cox added a brace as Fernhill Heath Athletic tamed Oldbury Park Tigers 9-3.

VBL Sports Reserves romped home 8-1 at St Peters, with Tom Stone notching a treble and Monirul Islam a double.

In the Sunday Premier division, leaders Arrow Upton 2000 thrashed Malvern Radar 7-1, with Luke Corbett and Aston Gunter both bagging a brace.

Worcester Saints are still to concede a goal as they moved into third place in Division One with a 4-0 victory at Worcester City Wanderers.

Leon Roberts scored twice, with Kyle Pugh and Nathan Grogan also on the scoresheet.

Simon Busby bagged two for Worcester Raiders, who were 4-0 winners at the University of Worcester B.

A severely-depleted Malvern Mans side were annihilated 19-0 at Powick, where Kieron Smith netted five times.

Darren Jenkins and George Simpson both hit hat-tricks and there was a brace each for Jack Courtney, Kristian Botterill and Aaron Wilks.

Droitwich Spa Eagles put six past New Inn Saints without reply as Kevin Ginger scored twice.

The only match played in Division Four saw Prince of Wales win 2-1 at The Bell @ Pensax Reserves, with goals from Lee King and Zac Jenkins.

The bottom-of-the-table clash in Division Five saw a comfortable 8-1 success for GDL Athletic at Eaton Rovers.

Mark Edwards, Will Hughes and Martyn Smith all bagged two goals each.

Hallow are through to the semi-finals of the Worcestershire FA Sunday Premier Cup after a 3-1 win against fierce rivals Callow End.

Adam Harris, Nathan Hayward with a penalty and Brad Birch were on target for Hallow, with Adam Webb netting a late consolation for Callow End.
