WORCESTERSHIRE Rapids’ home NatWest T20 Blast quarter-final with Hampshire on Friday (5.30pm) is now officially a 4,800 sell-out.

The remaining 100 or so tickets have been eagerly snapped up by members and supporters for the New Road clash.

Worcestershire will be contesting a home quarter-final in T20 cricket for the first time after away matches at the same stage in 2004, 2007, 2012 and 2014.

Only tickets for hospitality packages remain unsold and details are available online, via telephone on 01905-337933 or in the club offices in The View.

Worcestershire chief executive David Leatherdale said: “The quarter-final is sold out in terms of general ticket admission sales, which is great a week or so before the game.

“It is our first home quarter-final in the competition and it is great to sell it out and hopefully we can make it through to our first finals day in the T20.

“There are still some hospitality tickets available in the Watershed Marquee and the 1865 Lounge.”

Rapids finished second behind Birmingham Bears in the North Group to clinch the home quarter-final.
