MALVERN Hills Buzzards continued their 100 per cent streak with a 64-63 over-time victory against Wyre Forest Flames at Dyson Perrins Academy.
The first quarter saw Buzzards take the early lead, securing a 10-point head start in the Worcester League clash.
However, the hosts struggled to maintain the momentum as Flames brought the game back to within three at 31-28 at half-time.
The advantage slipped away in the third quarter and Flames secured a five-point lead, which turned the fourth period into a head-to-head battle for the win.
With time running down and the Flames ahead by one, Buzzards captain Jacek Gibalski tied the game with a free-throw and took the game into over-time.
Despite the Flames’ efforts, Buzzards came back with an impressive defensive display and claimed the victory by just one point.
