SUNDAY’S North Ledbury meeting has attracted 182 entries after their move to Hereford Racecourse.

The total has been boosted by the loss of last weekend’s fixture at Garnons with the first race off at 1pm this weekend.

Both the three and two-and-a-half mile maidens have been divided with the last of the nine contests due at 5pm.

The organisers hope the weather remains in their favour in order to attract a large crowd.

The Magherally Man beat Joe the Trucker when they finished first and second at South Hereford, but it may be closer this time as he concedes 5lb to his rival.

Storridge trainer Tim Eades has a useful second string to his bow with In The Dock, who won over course and distance last May, while The Ferbane Man is capable of a surprise.

History Master and Brize Norton are both getting on in years but their jumping will stand them in good stead, and they could take advantage of mistakes from their rivals.

Another Kate had useful form under Rules and the grey mare holds an entry in the Ladies’ Open where she could meet Catspan, Khyber Kim and Bubbly Breeze.

Invisible Man is a consistent performer in this grade and is sure to give a good account, while the opposition to Christine Banks’ gelding includes Sagalyrique, who is trained by her sister Angela Rucker.

Callow End trainer Hannah Phillips sends out Annamult to contest the Restricted, where potential rivals include Cooladerry King from Sheila Crow’s yard.

Culpable Culprit won in decisive fashion at Garnons a few weeks ago and trainer Dawn Woolf will hope they can give their supporters a run for their money.

With Roses Peacock running last weekend, the Men’s Open looks up for grabs with De Forgotten Man, Domtaline and Rash Move all expected to figure in the shake up.

Royal Riviera and jockey Ed Bailey have useful form and are progressing in the right direction under Eastnor trainer Nicky Sheppard.

Scenic Route is capable of a surprise and may be difficult to catch if he is given an easy lead, while Stone should run well for Dymock owner Clive Bennett.

With Worcester trainer-rider Tom Weston sidelined after his fall at Cheltenham Festival, it will be interesting to see if any of the stable’s entries meet their engagements and which jockey is chosen.

Cold Knight has not been seen since early season but has a good chance of winning the Confined judged on those performances.

In the Dock has a course success, which could make him a serious rival to the Weston runner, while many will cheer on Murphys Fusilier and owner John Chinn.

Winds and Waves is in a good yard and Huw Nugent rode his first winner last weekend.

Robert Chugg’s Little Lodge Farm is a well known National Hunt breeding establishment so it will be interesting to see how Jack in a Box performs in Division One of the three-mile maiden.

Bold Voyager from Crow’s yard and Jane Williams’ Twilight Fox are others to note.

Cab on Times looks one for the shortlist in Division Two as he finished third at Chaddesley a few weeks ago.
