MALVERN United anglers enjoyed their traditional fur and feather match at Fishponds, Colwall.
After the previous day of sharp frost, weather conditions were milder, although a strong wind made fishing difficult at times.
All the competitors struggled with the exception of the runaway winner Dave Whitaker, who tempted a few bream and a carp weighing a total of 10lb 5oz.
A long way back in second spot was John Barr, who had a few small roach and perch to weigh in 2-3, while Ian Goddard included a good perch to finish third with 1-10.
The other weights were made up of a few small perch and roach but all caught and were able to enjoy the prize presentation, including a fruit basket provided by Clive’s Fruit Farm, Upton.
Nigel Bayliss managed 1-1, John Shaw 0-11, Phil Harding 0-9, Chris Loveridge 0-6, Bill Hartland 0-2, Mick Harris 0-1-5 and Mike Perks 0-1.
