HEREFORD United face the threat of liquidation next month after their CVA proposal was rejected by creditors.

HM Revenue and Customs, who are now owed £170,000 by the Southern League Premier Division club, had already rejected the arrangement, which was voted out.

The Bulls are now effectively an insolvent company and, unless the remaining directors can raise the money to pay creditors before September 1, the club will be wound up in the courts.

It was announced this week that Tommy Agombar had failed the owners' and directors' test by the FA and told he was not allowed any involvement with United.

His shares have since been bought by Alpha Choice Finance Limited, which is owned by Alan Gerald McCarthy.
