MALVERN Town Football Club have revealed plans to improve their Langland Stadium surface during the close-season.

Hereford specialists Lawn View Ltd have been contracted to install a professional-grade pitch.

Town managing director Chris Pinder said: “The installation of a high-quality playing surface will be to the benefit of both our players and spectators alike.

"We strongly feel our players deserve to play in an environment that allows them to perform at their best and I’m sure our supporters agree.”

After the weekend's 9-1 thrashing of Dudley Town, James Lush scored as Malvern went down 2-1 at home to Ellesmere Rangers in a mid-week West Midlands League Premier Division fixture.

Town visit Willenhall on Saturday (3pm) before heading to Bromsgrove Sporting in the Worcestershire Senior Urn last eight next Tuesday (7.45pm).
