Collection beat Belters in top-of-the-table clash

LEDBURY Collection won the crucial Paperstation Malvern League Division One top-of-the-table encounter with Broadheath Belters 8-2.

Superb displays by Nigel Foreshew and Craig Preece saw them take all their singles and claim the doubles in four sets against John Stalker and Ben Bennett.

Bennett won one singles as did Toby Wren, standing in for the injured Brett Brining, for Belters, while Harry Jutle claimed Collection's other victory.

Manor Park Express defeated an under-manned Ledbury Rovers 7-3 with Ady Marshall bagging three victories.

Pete Griffiths and Dave Woodyatt took the doubles against Marshall and James Dance in five sets.

Griffiths, Woodyatt and Ray Page all won a singles each to earn the victory for Express and maintain their hopes of avoiding relegation.

In Division Two, Scuttling Gang maintained their promotion challenge with a 9-1 win against Dynamos thanks to maximums from Richard McKenna and Bill Smith.

Chris Field also contributed two victories with John Phillips replying with a single for Dynamos.

Crackpots 'B' enjoyed an 8-2 Division Three victory against Abbey College thanks to maximums from Stan Ginn and Matt White.

Djumaev Akhmed and Ereyitomi Dede enjoyed fine triumphs over Ted Cates in reply for Abbey College.

Manor Park Crackpots defeated Team Tekkers 8-2 with three wins from Stephen Lindner alongside two each for Ed Palmer and Will Jones.

Ben Meredith continued to demonstrate his rapid development by replying with two successes for Tekkers.
