CSSC Ramblers retained their leadership of Paperstation Malvern League Division One with a comfortable 8-2 victory over Manor Park Pumas.

A maximum from Chris Hewitt and two wins each from Graham Thompson and Alan Salisbury secured the success.

Geoff Woodward continued his fine form with two wins for Pumas and Dave Hallam competed well before succumbing to both Thompson and Salisbury in five sets.

Jon Dyke also only lost narrowly in five sets against Salisbury.

Pterodactyls shared a 5-5 draw with Ledbury Lions thanks to three singles wins from Wayne Chopping, who also combined with Graham Collier to take the doubles against Patryk Kovacz and Steve Meredith.

Richard Smith (2), Kovacz (2) and Meredith were successful for Lions but Collier earned the draw for Pterodactyls with a close five-set victory over the latter.

Manor Park Travellers maintained their 100 per cent record in Division Two with an 8-2 victory against Manor Park Rangers.

Toby Wren bagged a maximum alongside two wins each for Martin Snee and Peter Roberts.

Richard Cullis and Lawrence Dodd replied for Rangers by beating Snee and Roberts respectively.

YMCA Vulcans defeated X Police 8-2 with John Cawthra and Richard Bennett unbeaten, including a doubles win over Steve Mulka and James Mulka.

Beryl Shammon also contributed a singles win for Vulcans but was defeated by both the Mulkas.

Crackpots ā€˜Dā€™ enjoyed a successful Division Three week with two 7-3 victories over Tekkers with two maximums from both James Palmer and Bob Rhodes.

Tekkers were also beaten 7-3 by Poolbrook Panthers as Collette James was unbeaten in the singles and claimed the doubles with Jude Tyson.

Ewan Gear also supplied two victories and Tyson one.

Ben Meredith again performed creditably for Tekkers with two victories and one for James Meredith.
