MALVERN United members enjoyed the festive atmosphere at the Fishponds, Colwall, at their traditional fur and feather match despite dull and rainy weather.
While all members caught, the better fish were limited to just a few pegs and eventual winner Dave Stretton attracted a small shoal of bream on pole-fished maggot weighing 19lbs 8oz.
On the other side of the pool, the second-placed Richard Webster caught 16-2 of various fish, including a tench on casters.
Graham Rees had 11-4 for third place and snared a carp of about 6lbs which was the best fish of the day. Ian Goddard caught 10-6, Mark Paintain 3-8, Chris Loveridge 3-2, Dave Wilkes 3-0, Jon Harcourt 2-15, John Barr 1-14 and John Shaw 0-10.
