MANOR Park Pumas shared a thrilling 5-5 draw with Ledbury Rovers in Paperstation Malvern League Division One.

Jon Dyke and Geoff Woodward claimed two singles wins each for Pumas alongside one for Dave Hallam.

Rovers’ James Dance, who defeated Woodward and took the doubles, was unlucky to lose his other singles games in five sets but Ady Marshall (2) and Bob Marshall added crucial victories.

CSSC Ramblers maintained their title challenge with a convincing 9-1 defeat of Ledbury Lions thanks to maximums from Graham Thompson and Chris Hewitt.

Manor Park Devils were held to a 5-5 Division Three draw by Crackpots ‘B’, who were fired by Stan Gynn’s hat-trick of victories, including defeating the previously unbeaten Paul Lythgoe.

Alan Forsdike and Ted Cates chipped in but Devils replied through Liz Hallam (2), Lythgoe (2) and the doubles.

Tornados are in hot pursuit at the top following their 7-3 win over Tekkers thanks to Andy Banks (3), Dominic Weston (2) and Zoe Snee.

Banks and Weston bagged the doubles with Ben Meredith (2) and James Meredith hitting back.

Poolbrook Panthers saw off Tekkers 8-2 thanks to maximums from Collette James and Ewan Gear, who also won the doubles. Jude Tyson was the other victor with Ben Oakley and Patrick Oakley on target for Tekkers.

Crackpots ‘D’ defeated Abbey College 8-2 and 6-4 with Frank Lane unbeaten and James Palmer providing five wins.

Manor Park Crackpots enjoyed a narrow 6-4 win over Abbeydowne through Will Jones (3), Ed Palmer and Dina Murdle.

Ed Palmer and Jones won the doubles, while Chris Burrows and Niels Eriksson both claimed two singles for Abbeydowne.
