Ghani in charge after tight contests
THERE have been tight finishes in Bransford seniors’ competitions with Division One seeing two golfers only separated by countback.
Ferey Ghani and Mike Weaver have twice duelled for top spot in stableford competitions and each time the latter has just held sway thanks to a better back-nine score.
However, Ghani did win the winter league second round and was also in the top six in the December stableford.
Despite heavy conditions, Ghani and Weaver both carded 40 points as did Roger Steade, George Batty and Brian Corfield.
