LEDBURY ace Terry Jenkins might be a 200-1 shot for the PDC Ladbrokes World Championship title — but he’s urging fans not to write off his chances.

The Bull reached the semifinals of the prestigious tournament in 2011 and says he is playing well.

Jenkins, who is seeded 17th, will meet Northern Ireland’s Colin McGarry or Denmark’s Per Laursen in the first round at London’s Alexandra Palace tomorrow.

“I feel confident,” he said.

“I did well in Barnsley recently and have been averaging 100 and above. I have been playing well but need some good luck.

“If you are averaging over 90, you are playing well.

“I have a 100 average on the floor but so too does everybody else.

“There are many good players out there.

“I might not be fancied by the bookies but people should never bet against me.

I never know what I am going to do.

“Colin and Laursen are both sound players. I will have to be careful against either of them.”

Jenkins has enjoyed a quieter year on the darts front and built a garage for his vintage cars.
