MALVERN will be out to repair their battered pride when they entertain mid-table Whitchurch in Midlands One West tomorrow.

The Spring Lane outfit suffered a chastening 115-0 thrashing at the hands of runaway league-leaders Lichfield last time out.

Now they will be keen to bounce back at the first opportunity.

Malvern were without as many as 17 first-team regulars through a combination of injury and unavailability for the trip to Lichfield, who made it 12 bonus point wins out of 12 so far this term.

A number of second and third XV players stepped into the breech, but were unable to match the pace and power of their well-drilled hosts.

However, coaches Nick Tisdale and Alan Keylock are set to welcome back a number of the players who missed the Lichfield game for the visit of seventh-placed Whitchurch, who slipped to a 33-32 home defeat to Walsall last weekend.
