LEDBURY Collection returned to form in Paperstation Malvern League Division One with a 9-1 defeat of undermanned Manor Park Pumas.

Two wins for Craig Preece and Nigel Foreshew led Collection with Jon Dyke securing Pumas’ sole victory over Ann Barnes.

Ledbury Rovers could also only field two players and lost 7-3 to CSSC Ramblers although James Dance won two singles, including beating Chris Hewitt in straight sets.

Alan Salisbury won two singles for Collection and the doubles with Hewitt, while Ady Marshall claimed Rovers’ other match.

Pterodactyls won 7-3 against Crackpots ‘E’ thanks to a maximum from Wayne Chopping, who also claimed the doubles with Steve Glazzard.

Ian Bell (2) and Glazzard contributed the other victories with Colin Dolding (2) and Matt Hodges replying.

Manor Park Express enjoyed a fine 7-3 win over Ledbury Lions through maximums from Pete Griffiths and Dale Dickenson.

Lions’ Steve Meredith, Mike Morgan and Jim Ahern secured one game each.

Manor Park Travellers maintained their 100 per cent Division Two record with an impressive 8-2 victory over Upton Floods.

Toby Wren and Martin Snee again secured hattricks and the doubles with Ken Hipwell chipping in.

Roger Davies and Pete Nash replied.

Manor Park Rangers defeated Poolbrook Dynamos 7-3 thanks to Matt Lang (3), Lawrence Dodd (2) and Nick Haggar.

Lang and Dodd took the doubles, while Tom James (2) and John Phillips countered for Dynamo.

Poolbrook Wanderers and YMCA Vulcans shared a 5-5 draw when Matt White and Charlie Burford won two and Andy Banks one for the hosts.

Vulcans’ Richard Bennett secured three wins and the doubles with Simon Harrison, while Beryl Shammon earned the draw.

CSSC Nomads won 6-4 against X Police thanks to maximums from Dave Hayes and Adrian Fray, who lost in the doubles to Alan Preece and James Mulka. Preece, Mulka and Malcolm Dalley replied.

In Division Three, Abbeydowne and Poolbrook Panthers drew 5-5 with Niels Erikkson and Chris Burrows registering singles braces and a doubles triumph.

Panthers’ Ian Sage and Ewan Gear contributed two wins each with Collette James defeating Len Hitchman to earn the draw.

Crackpots ‘B’ defeated Crackpots ‘D’ 6-4 with a maximum from Matt White and two victories from Ted Cates.

White and Cates also won the doubles with Frank Lane (2), James Palmer and Tim Dolding on target for the ‘D’ team.

Ben Meredith continued his promising start to the season with two wins for Team Tekkers but they lost 8-2 Devils with Liz Hallam (3), Ralph Cook (2) and Denis Chetwood (2) doing the damage.

Manor Park Crackpots whitewashed Abbey College 10-0 with maximums from Ed Palmer, Stephen Lindner and Will Jones.
