Double delight for Siket sees Ramblers in charge

REIGNING Malvern League Division One champions CSSC Ramblers were defeated 6-4 by Belters.
For the winners, Michael Siket maintained his 100 per cent record and he also combined with Brett Brinning to take the doubles in four sets against Graham Thompson and Chris Hewitt.
Brinning also won two of his singles matches, both 11- 9 in the fifth set, while Hewitt replied with two wins for Ramblers with Thompson and Alan Salisbury each winning one match.
Ledbury Collection maintained their unbeaten record with a 9-1 demolition of Rovers with Nigel Foreshew and Trevor Davies both winning three, Harry Jutle two and Ady Marshall taking the sole victory for Rovers.
Pterodactyls narrowly defeated Manor Park Express 6-4 thanks to a maximum from Wayne Chopping, two wins for Ian Bell and one from Graham Collier.
Pete Griffiths (2) and Dale Dickinson replied for Express, before teaming up for a doubles victory.
Ledbury Lions defeated Manor Park Pumas 6-4 despite an excellent maximum from Geoff Woodward.
Steve Meredith and Jim Ahern took two victories each for Lions and also combined for a doubles win.
In Division Two, Scuttling Gang whitewashed Poolbrook Wanderers 10-0 thanks to maximums from Ray Davies, Chris Field and Bill Smith.
YMCA Vulcans also won 10-0 against CSSC Nomads with three wins each for Manuel Peral, Richard Bennett and Beryl Shannon.
Poolbrook Dynamos defeated Upton Floods 7-3 thanks to maximums from John Phillips, two triumphs from Tom James and a single win for Geoff Burford.
Manor Park Devils dropped their first Division Three points of the season in a 6-4 defeat against Crackpots ‘D’, for whom James Palmer won three, Frank Lane (2) and Tim Dolding (1).
Denis Chetwood enjoyed an excellent five-set victory against Frank and Liz Hallam, while Ralph Cook overcame Dolding as well as winning his doubles match.
Malvern Tornados had a mixed week overcoming Team Tekkers 8-2 thanks to a maximum from Andy Banks and two wins each for Dominic Weston and Ethan Webb.
However, Tornados followed this up with an 8-2 defeat against Crackpots ‘B’, for whom Matt White and Ted Cates were unbeaten, Stan Ginn contributing the other victory.
