MALVERN coach Stuart Bell has landed a national title 10 years after he last donned his blades for a competition.

The 37-year-old, who teaches at the town’s Ice Quest, Spring Lane North, won the masters section at the British Adult Skating Championships in Sheffield. Having finished competitive skating a decade ago to concentrate on coaching, Bell also had eight pupils from his Solihull class triumph at the event.

“It got to a point in my life when I thought I would give it another go,” he said. “When I was younger I got nine medals at junior level but I never won a British title.”
