Rowe lands England call-up for cup battle
MALVERN tennis ace Mark Rowe has been selected in England men’s over 45s team for the Four Nations Cup in May.
The Herefordshire and Worcestershire player reached the Scottish open seniors over 45s indoor final in Glasgow last month.
Rowe, who plays at the Mathon club, and his team-mates will take on Scotland, Wales and hosts Ireland in Dublin.
He said: "It is a great honour and, ever since I picked up a tennis racket at the age of 10, I have been waiting for my England call. Finally, after 38 years, it came so I am delighted."
