JAMIE Welch’s late equaliser gave leaders Ledbury Town a 2- 2 draw at 11th-placed Riverway in West Midlands Football League DivisionTwo.
The New Street side now only head the table on goal difference from Gornal Athletic Reserves who have a game in hand.
Dan Herbert was also on target for Ledbury who have no fixture this weekend with their next clash at Team Dudley on Saturday, March 9 (3pm).
Herefordshire rivals Bartestree and Hereford Lads Club, as well as Newport Town, are all still eyeing a title swoop with eight points separating the top and Team Dudley in sixth spot.
Herbert, Welch and Duncan Preedy scored in Ledbury’s 3-1 win over Continental Star Reserves in the Smedley Crooke Memorial Trophy second round last week.
- Herefordshire Sunday League Division One South title chasers Atletico Ledbury's game was postponed after hosts Tupsley could only field six players.
Tupsley face a potential fine and points deduction, while the match will be rearranged.
