MALVERN suffered a setback to their Worcester and District League Division One title hopes, losing 2½-1½ at home to Worcester Bishops.

Ian Clarke, John Knee and Geoffrey Herbert all drew their games with the former pressing for a win against a strong county player.

However, Brian Turner suffered his first loss of the season for Malvern.
