Georgia named in MCC’s squad

TALENTED young Malvern cricketer Georgia Hennessy has been selected to represent the MCC in the inaugural women’s under 19s ARCH Trophy.
It is the first time the MCC has fielded an age group women’s side with Barnards Green star Hennessy called up after impressing for Worcestershire Cricket Board last year.
The tournament runs from next Monday to Saturday in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and 16- year-old England youth international Hennessey’s team have three 50-over group matches with Durham, Devon and Essex under 19s.
England and Wales Cricket Board head of women’s cricket Clare Connor said: “Georgia has a lot of potential with an exciting future.”
