Community fete is back
THE biannual Poolbrook Community Fete takes place on Saturday, June 23, on Poolbrook Common outside the village hall. The fete will be opened at 2pm by Lib Dem parliamentary candidate Richard Burt.
The star attraction this year is a rodeo bull on which members of the public can take up the challenge to see how long they can stay on the bull.
Stalls are provided by St Andrews Church, the village hall, the WI, the Guides, the Three Horseshoes pub and Malvern Special Families. The Scouts are providing a marquee and donations to running costs have been made by QinetiQ and Probus.
There will also be an art exhibition from Chris Bennett and Edwin Birch, plus displays by the local dancing school and folk dancing club. Money raised will be spilt between Malvern Special Families, St Andrews Church and Poolbrook Village Hall.
