A BIBLICAL sculpture was unveiled this week at Holly Mount URC that aims to provide a teaching aid for children.
The Jesse Tree, created by Christopher Lisney, contains 22 Christian symbols including the ark, the star of Bethlehem, and an altar, and is situated in the church’s garden.
The Queens Drive church commissioned the sculpture for educational programmes aimed at Key Stage one and Two children.
Church treasurer Andrew Webb said: “It tells a story through a series of symbols which we can link into educational material.”
