TONIGHT at Bosbury Parish Hall, the Borderlines Film Festival presents Rumba. It is a hysterical, distinctly non-PC, nearly silent comedy about two teachers, who live for their weekends of Latin
dancing. When they have a freak car accident their lives are thrown into turmoil. Featuring plenty of fancy footwork and some of the best clowning and mime seen on film in recent years, Rumba
leaves you with a feeling that life is a miracle to be enjoyed whatever happens. Doors open at 7.15pm for 7.30pm and tickets are £4.

TWENTY-four people and two dogs joined popular leader Garth Lowe for a four mile walk around Cradley last Wednesday. Starting at the Red Lion, Stiffords Bridge, on a dry day, the route crossed
fields, past an orchard, past recently ploughed fields and grazing horses, to Cradley joining Chapel Lane near the Chapel. Cradley Brook was never far away as views towards the Malvern Hills from
the Herefordshire side were admired as were the early snowdrops and hazel catkins in the hedgerows. Once back at the Red Lion, nine people stayed for lunch and Garth was thanked. There is not a
walk next week but the following week on Monday, March 22 a five mile walk around Guarlford will be led by David Allen (01905 831988). Please meet at the church (GR 813453) at 10am. This is a walk
postponed earlier because of snow. On Friday, March 26 there is a four and a half mile circular walk to Howlers Heath and back starting from Bromesberrow Church (GR 743336) at 10am. The leaders are
Phil and Joy Bunyan and it is hoped that the wild daffodils will be in bloom.

THIS has been a red-letter week for St James’s Church of England Primary School which has now taken possession of the inside of the extended buildings which have been under construction during the
past year. This means that the school now has two new classrooms, freeing the former teaching space for use as a hall, something the school has never previously had. In addition there are a new
main entrance and two new offices. Finishing work remains to be done, but the new facilities are already in use and the children are delighted, while head teacher Karen Surrall, who has driven the
project forward from the beginning, admits she cannot stop smiling! Others who have good reason to be pleased are the many local individuals and businesses whose fundraising and financial support
have ensure the achievement of this major project. Among them are the team of mums – Alison Winters, Kay Meredith, Ella Norris and Kate Smith - who produced and marketed this year’s Beauty of the
Malvern Hills calendar which alone raised a remarkable £6,000 for the building fund.
