SUNDAY, December 23 at 4pm heralds my favourite service with all the children and their candles and oranges for the annual Christingle service.

Thank you to everyone who supported and helped with our Birtsmorton/Hollybush Christmas Fair last Friday. The hall was packed and despite the dreadful weather outside people of all ages decided to brave the elements and sample everything that was on offer. As yet I do not have the final total, but will publish it in next week's article. Many hands certainly made light work with all the fetching and carrying, and some very tired people were soon able to go home leaving the hall as we found it ready for the next function. Our grateful thanks to the Duke of York for judging and sponsoring the best dressed stall, the winners being the ladies running the joint PCC table. Congratulations to them, woe betide if you tried to go past their colourful stall without making a purchase. A super enjoyable evening.
