LAST Sunday morning marked the first Sunday in Advent when the first candle on the Advent ring was lit by Abigail Cauldwell. The church of St Peter's was full with friends and families for the baptism of two children: baby Eleanor Grace Cauldwell of Upper Ferry Lane, Callow End was baptised and she and her family will shortly be moving to Australia in January. Baby Mollie Summer Edwards of Lower Wick was baptised, grandparents are living in Callow End and Colletts Green. They were welcomed into the church by Ian Gane and Reverend Sue Irwin officiated.
This Sunday all children are welcome to attend the Christingle family service at St Peter's at 11am and receive a Christingle candle set in an orange representing the world and its fruits and Christ as the light of the world. In aid of the Children's Society the service will include an address given by Susan Price, Worcester Diocesan Co-ordinator for the Children's Society.
