TUESDAY, February 4, sees the next fortnightly evening of fun that takes place at 7.30pm in the village hall. This is Welland whist drive. It only costs £2 per person (to include an interval for refreshments). There is a raffle and ample car parking.

 From February 17 Welland WI meetings will revert to normal (third Monday of the month at 7.30pm) in the village hall.

Forthcoming events in the Welland Cordery Club (RSV Over-60s) include: February 6 – Talk by Mr A Golightly on his visit to Africa; March 6 – a talk and April 3 – lunch. All meetings in Welland village hall, 2.30pm-4.30pm. Further details from the club leader, Margaret Smith – 01684 833252.

There will be a flea market in St James’ Church on March 8, 9am-3pm, in aid of the church. Tables cost £15 each and can be reserved from Mary on 01684 310289.
